For Parents, Friends of Lesbians and Gays. Don’t give up praying and do not lose hope. I was reading the other day about Cornelius. Cornelius I felt like yelling like Charlie Brown when his sister tells him about Harold Angel in the Christmas play. He yells out who in the heck is Harold Angel. I digress. I am reading in Acts the 10th chapter and up jumps this guy Cornelius. In my entire Bible reading that name doesn’t click with me. Hmm who and the heck is Cornelius. I read further and an Angel of the Lord appears to him and he says who are you man? The angel says I am an angel sent by God and the Lord has sent me here to tell you this, “Your prayers have been heard and the Lord sees your kindness to the poor and the needy.” Wow what kind of God do we serve that says your prayers have been heard? Man God cares enough to send an Angel to tell Cornelius this. Now that is a really great God. The same is true for us today. Through his word God is saying to each and every one of you reading this that your prayers have been heard. Don’t give up Parents, Friends who are praying for their Lesbian Friend or Gay friend to become a Christian. Know that God sees you and he has taken note of your prayers. Like Cornelius God may give you a job to do so don’t be surprised if God leads you to speak to someone like Cornelius was told to speak to Peter.
Acts 10:31 He told me, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your gifts to the poor have been noticed by God! (Living translation)

Thanks for that encouragement. I sense that the LORD is telling me to continue praying, but to leave all my hopes and dreams for my daughter with Him….to surrender them all, and to allow Him to complete the work He started in her. Now, I am learning how to do that…how to maintain a relationship with my daughter without agreeing/supporting her lifestyle. This is a delicate balance, and it cannot be struck without the LORD’s direct intervention in both our lives.

Yes we must reach out continually to our children who are in the life style. It is difficult but not impossible. As in the HA (Homosexuals Annonynmus) 12 step program, We are powerless over their situation. God however is not.
Thanks for the comment and God Bless.
